Herstory Updates

Thank you so much to everyone who made it to the launch last Friday at Alchemy (photos will be uploaded very soon). Needless to say, the event was a success! Despite our limited time and resources, Dash Wearables and Playground pulled through (thank you, Amis and Louie!). Thank you also to Kevin Cabanban of Vibe Manila and Karla Soliman of Baileys for their all out support.

To all our models, we salute you for your grace under pressure (I will thank you individually in another blog =P ).

About Herstory

Herstory is an original line of t-shirt dresses designed and conceptualized by Lai del Rosario of Dash Wearables and produced by Amis Tumang of Playground Sportswear. From the name, it suggests that there is more to the general notion of ‘history’, one that speaks for and about women, their stories --- herstory.

From the first collection comes the I am Filipina series, which celebrates ‘Filipinahood’ across nations. Articulated through the use of various languages, the series aims to give recognition and distinction to Filipinas, who are often stereotyped and overlooked across the globe.

The collection further takes inspiration from the natural colours of the Philippines. The imagery of lush landscapes, dramatic sunsets, deep waters, sunny rain showers, and heavenly skies work to complement all kinds of beauty. The result? Alluring dresses with a powerful statement.  Clothes that are made to be worn, flaunted and admired.

This collection is definitely a story worth sharing.
